The Laurel Highlands High School "Mustang" Marching Band formed in 1966 after the merger of North Union and South Union High Schools. The first Director of Bands was Richard "Mac" McCoy. Mr. McCoy served as the band director for 33 years.
The band has had 5 sets of uniforms, 4 directors and performed all over the east coast including Canada. The largest LH Band was over 150 members in the 1978-1979 season. |
